About us 

shecco is a market accelerator supporting the introduction of climate friendly technologies in the heating, cooling and refrigeration (HVAC&R) industry, with a special focus on natural refrigerants and clean cooling. Our philosophy is to bring these technologies faster to the market to reduce greenhouse gas emissions as soon as possible and thereby “sustaining our atmosphere”.

ATMO is shecco’s brand of events services, which include conferences, workshops and networking events where industry experts and stakeholders meet to exchange ideas, learn latest technologies, grow their network and increase sales opportunities.

The Events team is based in Barcelona, Spain. The shecco group also has offices Brussels, Tokyo and the US.

The job

shecco is looking for a Global Events Manager to join its team. Based in Barcelona, the candidate will provide guidance and a structured approach to organise and market the best events and conferences in the HVAC&R sector. He/ she will report to the CEO.

This position, therefore, entails a mixture of management and sales tasks, requiring a personality with a structured, proactive and positive mindset. International travel on a regular basis is required.

Estimated start date: 1 April 2021

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead the events team to ensure a smooth delivery of top quality ATMO events around the globe from beginning to end
  • Establish and maintain excellent customer and stakeholder relations
  • Create, execute and monitor sales campaigns for events
  • Contribute in sales meetings and report on your sales forecast and objetives achievements 
  • Source, negotiate and liaise with suppliers internationally
  • On-site event and event team management
  • Develop effective marketing activities for events
  • Plan and manage event budgets

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years successful B2B event management experience
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
  • Excellent management skills, with proven ability to lead teams to successfully complete complex projects
  • Exceptional organisation, planning and monitoring related to event activities
  • Familiar with CRM tools
  • Solid marketing background, good understanding of a marketing strategy
  • Strong attention to detail with a ‘hands on’ mentality
  • Background or experience in engineering, environmental science, energy, a plus
