Brussels, 14 November 2016: More relevant than ever, the ATMOsphere conference series will see some 1,300 industry experts gather to hear over 250 presentations at five conferences across four continents in 2017.
With October’s Kigali deal on amending the Montreal Protocol, which aims to phase down the production and use of HFCs, the future for natural refrigerants looks brighter than ever. Join in the conversation at your nearest ATMOsphere to talk everything natural refrigerants.
Next year’s ATMOsphere conferences will cover the most important issues facing the HVAC&R industry, from regulations and standards, to training and the latest technology developments. The compelling programmes feature end users and suppliers, and discussions on policy and market trends. Participants are invited to join high-profile panelists in exploring the latest developments and case studies on industrial, commercial and light refrigeration, as well as heat pumps, air conditioning and new applications.
As the ATMOsphere conference series grow with regard to the number of events, participants, sponsors and expert speakers, one of its biggest highlights is the many networking opportunities. 2017 is the year to join us and establish fruitful partnerships with your peers!
Japan 2017 (20 February, Tokyo): In the heart of innovation, a new ATMO is born
In acknowledgement of Japan’s impressive status as an innovation hub for the latest natural refrigerant technologies, the first dedicated ATMOsphere Japan conference will be held in 2017 following the tremendous success of previous events there.
ATMOsphere Japan will give industry leaders and policymakers a unique platform to discuss global and Japanese developments in the natural refrigerants sector, with simultaneous translation in English and Japanese.
Participants will discuss the issue of whether government subsidies for natural refrigerant-based technologies will continue, and discuss emerging signs of healthy technological competition in the industrial and commercial refrigeration sectors, creating more choice for end users.
The conference will take place just a few days after the Supermarket Trade Show (15-17 February, Tokyo) where Japanese suppliers will be showcasing their CO2 technology, designed especially for convenience stores.
Australia 2017 (2 May, Sydney): Growing interest Down Under
Building on the remarkable success of last year, the 2nd edition of ATMOsphere Australia will take place in Sydney against the backdrop of the picturesque harbour.
The main focus will be training and standards for natural refrigerants, alongside the latest developments and case studies on industrial refrigeration, commercial and light commercial refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pumps.
America 2017 (5-7 June, San Diego): Experience the power of California
Over 400 participants from the US, Canada, Mexico and the rest of the world will influence the discussion around natural refrigerants in sunny San Diego at the 6th ATMOsphere America. Leading the charge is the US state of California. Participants will hear about the end users, technology and innovation, and legislation and incentives driving uptake of natural refrigerants.
Next year’s refreshed and improved format of two half-days and one full day will allow for more networking opportunities and a more tranquil learning atmosphere.
One of the most exciting parts of the conference will be the 2nd annual Accelerate America Awards, which will honour and celebrate the market leaders in natural refrigerants.
Asia 2017 (6 September, Bangkok): Explore opportunities in Asia Pacific and beyond
Making its Southeast Asian debut, the 4th ATMOsphere Asia will be held in Bangkok – one of the region’s fastest growing HVAC&R industry hubs. Presented simultaneously in English and Thai, the event will be a unique opportunity to inform policymakers about global developments.
The international community will gather to share experiences and discuss market trends with government representatives from the Southeast Asian region, contactors, domestic and foreign manufacturers, suppliers and end users, and to establish long-lasting partnerships with top industry professionals.
ATMO Asia is perfectly timed, taking place a day before the Bangkok RHVAC trade show (7-9 September), which ranks among the world’s best HVAC&R exhibitions and is the second largest in the Asia Pacific region.
Europe 2017 (25-27 September, Berlin): Germany’s strong industrial base – the ideal meeting place for Southern and Eastern Europe
Berlin will host the 8th ATMOsphere Europe, serving as an inspiration and showing participants that a strong industry can go hand in hand with environmentally friendly technology solutions.
The conference is the perfect platform for policymakers, industry professionals, associations and academics to consider the potential for natural refrigerants in different applications. Mobile air conditioning (MAC) will feature this year alongside technical presentations, end user panels, and the latest market, policy and technology trends.
